The Research Waste / EQUATOR conference (Edinburgh, September 28-30th, 2015) aimed to present what was done so far with the 17 recommendations of the 2014 Lancet series; to present problems and potential solutions in reducing research waste; and to launch the Reduce research Waste and Reward Diligence (REWARD) campaign. The program consisted of a mix of relevant research and inspiring best practice examples. The conference website lists the program and abstracts.

The conclusion of the conference was that a lot is put in motion, but also that still a lot remains to be done. The Lancet published this inventory.
