Update on the Macchiarini case: action plan

Paolo Macchiarini has been accused of research misconduct and unethically performing experimental surgeries. Two years after the investigation on the Macchiarini case has started, an action plan has now been formulated by the Karolinska Institute. The measures include teaching research integrity to junior scientists, new procedures in cases of suspected scientific misconduct and a compulsary log book for research documentation.
